The Art Of Trashcans

Trashcans.

Unattractive. Smelly. Gross.

So how you might ask can these be art?

With Global Inheritance’s annual competition, artists are asked to design 96 gallon trashcans into captivating masterpieces. The finalists are given huge black bins and have no limitations. The possibilities are endless as the creative juices flow. I had the wonderful opportunity to be selected and greatly enjoyed designing the trashcan. The ability to help a great cause and also express myself artistically  motivated me to participate in this contest. This past month, all 50 cans were on display at an art show in Los Angeles and also at Coachella, a music festival in Indio, California.

Beautiful. Innovative. Mesmerizing.
